Organisers of The Edinburgh Mela Festival today announced their diverse programme for this year’s new week-long event.
Performers will be travelling from all over the world to Leith, where a big top will be set up next to Ocean Terminal between August 25 and 31. Film screenings, concerts and exhibitions will take place in the shopping mall.
The programme will feature world premieres of a number of shows, including Japanese drummers and Scotland’s only Polish theatre ensemble. The festival will feature film and theatre for the first time, as well as favourites such as the ladies-only night and a fashion show. Read the rest of this entry ?
